A native of London, England, Catharine Cellier-Smart is a long-term resident of Reunion Island, in the south-west Indian Ocean. She also lived and travelled for three years in Asia, from 2008-2011.
Holder of an MBA from the IAE (Business School) of the University of Réunion, she has twenty years experience in the world of business, but has always carried out translation work professionally while working at the same time. Since 2008 professional translation has been a full-time second career.
Catharine is a member of the SFT (French National Translators’ Association), IAPTI (International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters), and UNETICA (French National Union of Sworn Translators).
Catharine has in-depth knowledge of both British, French and Reunionese cultures, is highly organised, possesses excellent research skills and has a broad range of interests.
